Half a million collected at the Annual Moses Kotane Institute Gala Dinner

Half a million collected at the Annual Moses Kotane Institute Gala Dinner

Date: 2013-08-15
Second Annual Gala Dinner for Moses Kotane Institute took place last weekend at Sibaya. Sakhile Ngcobo it's chairman spoke of importance in investing in rural youth and giving them an opportunity to become future leaders.

Moses Kotane Institute has identified and implements practicle and innovative ways for the delivery of its programs. For example, under 'Programme 2', a Matric Intervention Programme as a sub-program wherein matric learners from rural areas, enrolled in different schools are invited to come to Moses Kotane activation centre, (a local school) during which professional, Moses Kotane Institute Maths and Science educators provide much needed tuition, matric intervention.

The institute is proud to bear the name of Moses Kotne, one of the greatest leaders that this country has ever produced. The institute has been afforded the opportunity to keep his legacy alive and uphold his values that are deeply rooted in Ubuntu and egalitarianism. Social consciousness is the cornerstone of the values that underpin the very core on the institute.

On the night nearly half a million rand has been collected which will be used to help young South Africans reach their dreams and become the future leaders of our country.
