They say that the car industry is saturated with choice and that car manufacturers have run out of ideas for new models of cars, well let me tell you about the new Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2D which I recently test drove and instantly fell in love.
Quintin Dry, Dealer Principal of Hyundai Umhlanga introduces me to the new model; black leather seats throughout the vehicle, advanced camera system, which is installed in the rear of the vehicle and offers convenience when rear view mirror visibility is obscured by passengers or luggage in the backseat. The rear view monitor offers a permanent look at the rear of the vehicle.
It also has a 7-inch infotainment system that will keep you informed from the beginning to the end of your journey. The new Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2D boasts electronic parking brake, incorporated into the braking system which automatically holds the brakes steady once the vehicle has come to a complete stop, such that the vehicle will not creep forward or roll backward should the driver take their foot off the brake pedal.
And my favourite feature is the easy to fold and unfold back seats that make this vehicle a perfect family carrier. Across the board, the interior of the Santa Fe offers a very much more refined and cushyinterior architecture, integrating high-technology components into a dual cockpit layout.
Hyundai's Road to 2021 plan is a bold and ambitious strategy that will not only see the manufacturer launch 30 new models or derivatives by 2021, but also aim to become the biggest Asian automotive brand in Europe. It's an exciting time for the Korean brand, and the result is that you can look forward to some of the most exciting, adventurous, high-quality and striking-looking cars on the road.
