Bobbert's Brunch

Bobbert's Brunch

Date: 2013-04-16
Join celebrity actress Lisa Bobbert for brunch - and help those in need.

Lisa Bobbert, one of Durban's most loved and versatile stage personalities, will host a special networking function for women entitled Bobbert's Brunch, at Durban Country Club on Friday 19 April 2013 from 8am to 11am.

The event will be given in support of the popular actress' Joy Project initiative, a non-profit organisation formed to raise funds for poverty-stricken orphans, widows and other causes in dire need of support.

In tandem with her busy stage career, Lisa Bobbert has become increasingly active doing corporate and charity work. She is frequently invited to present motivational talks to various organisations, women's groups, church groups and charities, a relatively new string to her bow.

The multi-award-winning celebrity actress says she loves this platform which offers her the opportunity to reach out to people in need, and to make a difference in their lives. To this end, Bobbert has developed a presentation entitled "I am not OK and you are not OK and that's OK."

"I talk about coping with life and how to navigate some of life's challenges. I also remind people that the Hollywood role model of us all perfectly multi-tasking, is not realistic. How can we begin to achieve that? Personally I would love to kill Superwomen. She has a lot to answer for!"

To date, funds raised through Lisa Bobbert's Joy Project have helped put two young people from a children's home in Jozini, in northern Zululand, through university, as well as helping other poverty stricken orphans and widows financially.

Lisa Bobbert's brunch on 19 April will include her 'Killing the Superwoman' address, and will offer women the chance to make contact with like-minded opinion-makers who would like to join her in helping those in need.

Join Lisa for a fun and informative morning filled with laughter and connecting. There will be loads of prizes, lucky draws and give-aways, and every lady will take home a surprise goody bag. Tickets for Bobbert's Brunch cost R275. Bookings by email at clare@pinkinkproductions.co.za or call 071 224 1046.
