Mt Richmore Curro School

Mt Richmore Curro School

Date: 2013-06-20
Curro Holdings has expanded its list of almost 30 schools around the country by opening a new Private School in the Mt Richmore Lifestyle Estate in Salt Rock. The school is already under construction and will be ready and open in January 2014. It will be parallel medium (English and Afrikaans classes) and will initially cater for Grades RR 8. The High School will grow each year grade by grade.

Fees will be in the range of R2200 to R4200 per month. The school will follow the National curriculum and offer IEB exams, will have a Christian ethos, cultural and sports activities and after-care facilities.

The Nursery school will be built early in 2014 and will be ready later that year. It will cater for children aged 3 months to 5 years. This nursery school will be modeled on the highly successful "Rosencastle Nursery School" in Tygervalley. It will also have an Activity Centre. This is an interactive centre where children between the ages of two and nine years old learn a variety of life, business and technical skills through role playing under supervision of trained guides.

The Kiddies Activity Centre comprises miniature outlets where children learn the specific skills applicable to various businesses. There is a mini bank branch with an automated teller where the kids learn the basic principles of money management, a mini supermarket outlet where they learn how to shop within a budget, an e-TV mini-broadcasting studio where tomorrow's newsreaders and screen personalities can show off in front of a real camera and even more!
