Daihatsu Terios

Daihatsu Terios

Date: 2013-05-02
The 1.5 L Dynamic Variable Valve Timing engine in the Daihatsu Terios is the most advanced in its class, producing 77kW and 140 Nm for manual transmission and 143 Nm for the automatic. DVVT changes the timing of the engine valves to improve torque at low revs, leading to better pull off. DVVT at high revs improves the power of the engine and reduces fuel consumption.

Fuel economy ranges from 7 L /100km to just 8.5 L /100km. The 50 L fuel tank translates into 700 km on one tank for the 4x2 model. The Terios long wheelbase has similar fuel consumption at just 7.4 L /100km for the 4x2; the best in class for a 7-seater. The Terios 4x2 is rear wheel drive. Wheel placement, deep within all four corners of the vehicle: - Improves the stability of the drive due to the width of the front track.

Ground clearance is an amazing 205 mm - better than any other vehicle in its class, and a healthy approach angle of 38°.and departure angle of 37° makes the Terios very capable off-road as well as on-road, it is also able to clear large obstacles and come onto and off steep ramps with ease.

The Distributor-less engine means each cylinder is individually timed, for better fuel economy, cleaner emissions and lower maintenance. Plastic intake manifold allows the engine to warm faster, leading to less wear and tear, lower maintenance and greater reliability.

It is a 7-seater with class leading legroom. The dual airbags, as well as the dual side impact beams and high strength cabin structure provide full safety for the driver and passengers. The Terios' Anti-Brake Lock System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution means that even when braking hard, the driver can still steer.

There is so much more about the Terios to discover so pop into Daihatsu Umhlanga at 1 - 3 Meridian Drive, Umhlanga Ridge or call them on 031 570 4700.
