Natalie Rungan with Mark Royeppen and Bruce Baker.jpg

Natalie Rungan with Mark Royeppen and Bruce Baker.jpg

Date: 2013-04-18
For a magical evening of crisp, 'burnt-honey' vocals and charming musical interplay thru escapades of Jazz and RnB hit singles...

Durban-born singer, songwriter Natalie Rungan embarks on a national tour of her latest concept "Up Close & Personal".

A concept that is all about how the audience feels while they are taken through this musical journey. The songs are carefully chosen to suit the anticipated audience and much like the jazz tradition from which Natalie hails, there isn't a set routine to the order in which songs are performed. She chooses them entirely based on the "moment" and how she feels at that time. So each audience has a way of drawing their very own set list from the artist making each performance truly original.

Natalie is joined by long time friend and keyboardist Mark Royeppen, as her right hand man. Drummer extraordinaire, Bruce Baker is the third and most crucial part of this trio. By introducing a reduced drum set that is centered on a percussion instrument the "Cajon", Bruce perfectly balances with Natalie's sultry vocals.

From jazz to R &B, with the addition of four brand new compositions by the songbird, this intimate setting promises to be truly memorable. For one night only in Kloof at Bluestockings on the 19th April at 7pm, this is a concert not to be missed!

Ticket price-R85 for online bookings. Or R90 at the door. Call Narene on 083 659 3628 for more info or email info@natalierungan.co.za.
