Last month Fabrica in Sunningdale held a fundraiser, celebrating women in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness. At least 150 patrons and art lovers converged on Fabrica to view some exquisite pieces of art and to support this important initiative.

"At Fabrica we like to give back to our community and this event was created to bring together our patrons and our neighbours in the centre, and to enjoy an evening of exquisite art, live music, wine and fabulous food," said Tome De Carvalho, the owner of Fabrica Café.

"We are delighted to have raised R20 000 in aid of Pink Dive," continued Tome, "Together with our partners; Eye4Art, Sean Dollan Hair Design, House of Calm and DNG Eye Care, and our contributed artists; Angelika Anastasis, Liza Kirby and Driekie van Wyk, we have managed to not only enjoy the evening in fabulous ambiance, but also to support a worthy cause."

The night was filled with love and laughter as guests mingled with artists; "It was a beautiful celebration of beautiful art and sensational women of our community. We are aspiring to make this an annual event, recognising, not just the fantastic talent, but also paying tribute to women and raising the awareness for breast cancer," concluded Tome.

Further to the R20 000 donation Fabrica will also donate R2500 from cappuccino sales. Fabrica is an award winning coffee shop in Sunningdale Centre in Durban North, come and try one of their thirty types of coffees that feature on their menu.
