The Mercedes-Benz C 350 e Dream
The Mercedes-Benz C 350 e Dream
I was thrilled to test drive this amazing technological masterpiece and as we wound our way toward Hartford House I pressed myself harder into the body hugging drivers seat and reflected at what a perfectly matched machine this Mercedes-Benz was for this trip.
The rolling green hills of KZN unfolded as we turned off the pitch black stripe of the N2, the clouds even seemed to not mind our presence as I selected batter power only on the C350 e and we glided through the country scenery.
I seemed to notice the green in the surrounding more, the air quality become more conspicuous, everything started to matter more as I pressed softly down on the accelerator and we swished past the green farmyards.
With both engines contributing towards a total of 205 kilowatts of power and generating a ridiculous consumption figure of just 2.1 litres per hundred kilometres my mind was free to calculate other things like global warming and climate change.
The phenomenal Airmatic air suspension system made it feel like we were gliding on pillows as we passed through the gates of Hartford House. I mused at how the stables were probably producing more greenhouse gasses than my Mercedes-Benz.
It all seemed to fit so perfectly, the pristine lawns of the country estate and the bursts of brilliant colour from the blooms, reflecting off the polished surface of the Mercedes-Benz 350e.
