Seb Goldswain Not Quite Spring KZN Tour

Seb Goldswain Not Quite Spring KZN Tour

Date: 2016-08-05
Accomplished guitar maestro, Seb Goldswain will embark on a Not Quite Spring provincial tour this August with six acoustic performances scheduled for around KZN.

Spending the last ten years perfecting his skills, Goldswain is a highly versatile musician, having studied Jazz Guitar and Composition up to Honours level at UKZN. Armed with an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar and a Marshall stack, he has a rare ability to dazzle crowds with his energetic original solo sets.

Not only will he be sharing his guitar virtuosity on stage, but he has organised two free guitar workshops where he invites anyone with an affinity to guitars to join him.

"With this tour I am hoping to further establish myself as a performing artist and concert guitarist in my home province of KZN. I spent over a decade honing my ability for hours every day while studying music at high school and tertiary level. I released my debut album last year, and now I want to raise my hand to the media and the public and invite them in to see what I'm all about as an artist and what I've been working on for all this time," he said.

People can expect to see a world-class acoustic guitar show. "My aim is to put on an experience for the audience. Songs and music in general are very powerful tools, and that combined with an excited interactive crowd and the right mix of songs can make for some amazing memories. I try to aim for that."

With a role model of Australian guitarist, Tommy Emmanuel who exudes sheer passion and dedication to putting on a monstrously good show is something Goldswain finds very inspiring. "I love his guitar-playing and think that he is a musical phenomenon."

"Each of the venues has loads of character. I definitely did aim to book places which are interesting in their own right and help add to the overall atmosphere of the performances. As an honest aside, some of the venues also have the most amazing food, which makes choosing venues a lot easier!"
