Before planning any interior improvements it's wise to go through each room and pack up everything that you don't need or want. Organise the items that you wish to keep and try to donate what you can to charity. Make a resolution to do this at least every three months to avoid a further buildup of unwanted clutter and become more selective about what you bring into your home in

Turning off lights when leaving the home and drying clothes outside when the weather permits can also prove beneficial towards the reduction of your energy usage.

Make Your Home A Safer Environment - We all put things off at some point but one thing that cannot be ignored is the general safety and security of our home. Sometimes we take our homes for granted and overlook some of the risks that lie right in front of us. It is especially important to address these risks when there are children living in the house. There are many ways to improve this however. for general security it is always wise to install and alarm and other security measures to deter would be burglars from trying to break in.

Another way is to add smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors into every room. It is also crucial to develop a plan of action in case of an emergency event such as fire or flooding. Having a fire extinguisher and a fire blanket is also necessary in the home. Making crucial changes such as these can make a huge difference in a worst case scenario.
