Birthday Bash for Malvern Child Care Center

Birthday Bash for Malvern Child Care Center

Date: 2016-11-04
Actor, writer and theatre and film producer Jacobus van Heerden is putting his considerable talents behind the Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre's 53rd fundraising Birthday Bash on November 5.

Under the guise of his Kirk Darren character, the award-winning Durban theatre personality will MC the event and perform some of his unique songs.

Everyone is invited to join in the festivities at the Malvern home, which cares for 120 orphaned and vulnerable children between the ages of 2 and 18.

Gates open at 10am and every R10 adult entrance ticket will automatically go into a draw to win a seven-night vacation for four people.

Along with food and beverage stalls, there's non-stop entertainment, including a special visit by Sharkie who will be making his way from the Shark Tank to join the party. Also on the programme is Durban's favourite K9 Smart Dog Show, dazzling Bollywood and Street Dance performances, live music from Durban Boys' High School band.

Local favourite Gerhard Supra will be performing some of the hits from his newly launched CD, while the Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre's very own choir who will be performing a special rendition of Happy Birthday.

The Kid's Fun Zone will provide loads of excitement with a variety of activity booths, games and fun inflatables. To top things off, His Kingdom Riders will be stopping by in full force to 'rev up the party' and make sure it is a 'roaring' success!

Gates close at 2pm.
