Spreading Mandela Day Joy at The Baby Home
In the true spirit of Mandela Day, Dr Cebi Sibisi and her team from Dr Cebi Dermatology paid a special visit to The Baby Home Durban North, bringing with them not only essential supplies but also care, compassion, and joy.
The team generously donated a range of much-needed baby items, including specialised creams to help treat skin concerns the home has been managing. Dr Cebi also took the time to share expert skincare advice with the caregivers, offering valuable guidance they were deeply grateful for.
To top off the visit, the little ones were treated to a beautiful new wooden outdoor play set, which has already become a firm favourite with the boys, and a wooden swing set, which is set to be installed next week.
"We had such a lovely visit from Dr Cebi Sibisi and her wonderful team," said Jo Teunissen, Founder of The Baby Home. "They came through with loads of essential goodies for our babies and gifted us the most amazing outdoor play equipment. We just know our little guys are going to have the best time with it all. Thank you so much, Dr Cebi and team - your love, care and support mean the world to us and our little ones."
Dr Cebi Sibisi, founder of Dr Cebi Dermatology, said: "It was a privilege to spend time with Jo and her incredible team. We admire the wonderful work they do to provide these little ones with such love and security. It's an honour to be able to support them in any way we can, and to help bless these beautiful babies with a little joy and care."
The Baby Home Durban North is part of The Peace Agency, a registered NPO and public benefit organisation. As a registered Place of Safety, the home provides 24/7 care for orphaned, abandoned, and adoptable babies and toddlers - including children with special needs - until they can be placed with forever families or long-term care solutions.
