South Africa's most iconic canoeing event, the FNB Dusi Canoe Marathon, is just three months away and the nation's top athletes have already commenced their intensive training programmes ahead of the much anticipated 2019 K1 clash.
For the hundreds outside of the first century of paddlers though, the three days on the Msundusi and Mngeni Rivers and pathways of the spectacular Valley of a Thousand Hills is far more than just a race. It's an adventure!
Lifelong memories and friendships have been formed throughout the previous 66 editions of the renowned paddling event while the sense of achievement upon crossing the finish line and completing the journey from Pietermaritzburg to Durban is unmatched.
2019 will once again see Gameplan Media providing a full media service in the build up to the event as well as race reports, photos, captions and results on race days. Details regarding media convoys, accreditation, etc. will be communicated with you in the new year however should you have any specific requests - particularly at this early stage of the build up to next year's race - please don't hesitate to email Nick Tatham ( ) or give us a call on 031 764 3017.
