Without their data, companies have no business: simple as that!

45 percent of companies have experienced data loss at some stage and 14 percent were never able to restore their lost business information. It's daunting to learn that 40 percent of small businesses close after a data loss disaster.

A database is often considered a company's most valuable asset. That's why it's imperative to have a modern and reliable system in place to store and 'protect' this valued information.

Cloud backup, is an onlinebackup strategy for backing up data over a registered or public network to an off-site i.e. the maintenance is someone else's hassle.

Third-party cloud backup is popular with many businesses and home users because of the speed, security and cost of the recovery and restoring of data. Additional hardware isn't required and backups can be runautomatically without manual intervention. Once the backup schedule has been set, it's saved automatically.

The conveniences of Cloud backup are that information can be retrieved from any Internet-connected device; data is more easily shared and it has built-in security.

IT is an area little understood and as such should be managed professionally as the risk of not doing so could be catastrophic.
