Ashton Senior College House Champions

Ashton Senior College House Champions

Date: 2014-08-15
The Oxford team were the first to march onto the field following a state-of the art Jaguar XJ 6 with only a war cry from the team, they remained firmly in the centre of the field. The London construction team, cheerleaders on the back of a small tip truck, came in cheering making their way to the stands. Then to the sounds of Jailhouse Rock, the robbers emerged from the boot of a Landrover, and the cops jumped from the luxury car, and with another dramatic entry and non-stop energy of singing and cheering, Oxford were awarded the spirit trophy.

Ashton's Senior College inter-house athletics meeting was held under floodlights on Friday evening. Support from parents was phenomenal and an evening of fierce competition, spirit and entertainment contributed to a very successful evening. London emerged as winners, followed by Oxford in 2nd place and Cambridge in 3rd.

Damien le Marque was the Senior Victor Ludorum with Danelle van der Linde clinching the Senior Victrix Ludorum, both from London. The Junior Victor Ludorum was J J Botha (London), and Jessica Quixley was the Junior Victrix Ludorum.
