'Bubbles & Beauty' events raise R100000 for Save the Rhino

'Bubbles & Beauty' events raise R100000 for Save the Rhino

Date: 2019-04-12

Local businesswomen and philanthropist, Cindy Norcott, hosted the second in a duo of fundraising events at the exquisite Beach Garden Conference and Events venue in Umhlanga on the 27th March.

Partnering with KWV and Dis-Chem to bring the 'bubbles' and 'beauty', over 130 guests were treated to a high energy morning filled with networking, shopping and supporting local brands that hosted expo tables, live entertainment by local entertainer Don Seagreen - whose cover of The Sound of Silence had the room erupt into applause, as well as a special guest performance by Hannah Norcott whose cover of John Lennon's 'Imagine' moved the entire room to tears.

Guests also enjoyed motivational talks by Craig Woods from Tyson Properties and author of the blog 'Are you kidney-ing me', Cindy herself and Sam Daykin as MC and Auctioneer.

Thanks to the incredibly generous sponsors and guests that attended, the event raised a whopping R52640 pushing the total of Cindy's personal fundraising endeavours, as she prepares to tackle the London Marathon for this cause next month, to an astounding R100000!

"I have been absolutely blown away by all the support from friends, colleagues and the community who have given so enthusiastically and generously. This has most definitely been a community effort and I am sincerely grateful to every single person who has been involved," said Cindy.
