Why sad Well mostly because I was torn between ecstatic jubilation because some realistic level headed thinking might actually prevail from this debacle, and the dismal despair that these four or five individuals had allowed matters to get so badly fucked up that it took the threat of a nuclear catastrophe to get them to realise that they were being childish, egotistical, illogical spoilt brats. These are the leaders of the free world. Four five six!
And so it is easy to see how Donald's got them all jumping. Check the latest head spinner form the world most outlandish president ever. He apparently tweeted very recently, "So interesting to see 'Progressive' Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run,". Not done with that tyrade he glibly added, "Why don't they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came," making him even more popular than he already is.
Here at home the Zondo commission looks more and more like it is going to be a trial by theatre. Is it possible that the enquiry into the most obvious case of treason and "sell-out" this nation has ever known, a case so big it even got its own callsign, will be used as a smokescreen, a slap on the wrist for the offenders Could that also 'happen' to us Well we won't try and answer that question just yet, but look not too far and you will see our president and our public prosecutor and a prominent minister all embroiled together in a legal battle that everyone can see is the pinnacle of the internal struggle of our governing party. Meanwhile we are all smiling brightly into each others faces, prentending it is not. Pretending it is really about the rule of law. LOL. Back on the farm our National Prosecuting Authority is underfunded and our police force, oooh no sorry, can't use that term, our police service is being hailed by some as the most corrupt organization on the continent, or thereabouts.
So maybe the imminent deployment of the military into high crime areas, is the only solution that will have any effect. Maybe what we really need is a single driving force that will make things happen, not just sit around talking about making things happen.
