What is the issue

What is the issue

Halala! We are free of the despot! What elation! What a joyful celebration this calls for. And even so there are those who carry the cry further, not happy yet. Some will never be happy and that's their lot, however there is still cause for concern because even the most stupid of us all knows that the problem of corruption and corrupt ministers does not end with the removal of Jacob. But Cyril has placated us and tells us that there is no rush to reshuffle the cabinet. Just like there was no rush to arrest Duduzani and thet Gupta guy. They're in Dubai, as we all knew they would be, sipping on something cold and probably very expensive, maybe some ice cold Crystal. How easy it must have been for them to board a plane and fly away, passport control just another consideration.

So everybody loves Cyril, and quite rightly so. I love him too, so far, I always wondered why he wasn't shuffled into the position of Number 1 much sooner, but there is little value in understanding that now.

Well we can pat ourselves on the back for getting rid of Zuma, it was a group effort and we stood together as a nation, once again, and managed to do something that most African countries have failed to do. There is so much hope for us now, and we have created a miracle once before, I know we can create a miracle once again and turn this economy around and make South Africa great again, like it was in 1978

Well if anyone can do it Cyril can, however he has ruffled some feathers with his land reform utterances. I like Gwede Matashe's comment on the issue when he stated, "The biggest mistake we can make is to think that dispossessing any white South African will solve black poverty, you can't take wealth from 8% and solve a problem of 80%." Gwede has shown us that the problem is much bigger than that and then there's the issue that here in KZN statistics show that around 73.5% of agricultural land is owned by blacks.

Anyway I'm sure we will find the solution, I just want to see if Cyril can stop the heinous senseless farm murders, that would be great, talking food security here.

But these are like champagne problems compared to the issues they are dealing with in the Middle East. Government backed troops have entered the Kurdish region where Turkey is bombarding them. It's like a whole box of matches and a litre of petrol thrown into the New Year's Eve fireworks collection. They just managed to quell the civil war down to a hell bent massacre and now the possibility of a war with Turkey, the second largest standing military force in NATO.

America is facing another senseless tragedy with the latest school shooting, I don't know what to say, the sheer anguish and debilitating pain of the loss of a child, and without even half a reason. It's so harsh, but then there is statistics coming out of Australia where they spent millions of Auzzie dollars removing guns from the citizens and now are facing escalating numbers of gun related crime, the figures are shooting through the roof, so taking guns away from the people may not be the solution. Japan has a way of dealing with the issue, we should look to them for help.

One crowd we should not emulate at any cost are the democrats with their Russiaphobia, which is slowly blowing up in their faces, revealing backhand type shenanigans that make Jacob Zuma look like a beginner.
