My head is reeling from the incompetence and utterly ludicrous condition that we find our leadership in. I speak of international leadership, local leadership, heck even dance partners these days can't seem to lead properly.
The total dingbat that is Kim Jong-il launched yet another rocket, this time flying right over Japan. But Donald Dump and his American associates keep pushing Kim's buttons. When asked 'What does North Korea want ' the answer seems to be evasive, however when Russia suggested a double freeze, North Korea freezes its missile launches and America freezes its military drills with South Korea on the North Korean border, you have to listen to the American response.
Sounding like more than just a War hawk, the US State Department spokesperson, Heather Neuert said "so-called double freeze, that's not going to change. We're allowed to do it (exercises). We're allowed to do it with our ally, South Korea. We will continue to do that and that's just not going to change." So there goes that. Amazing leadership skills right there.
Back home here in South Africa, we are sorting out our leadership problems like we never even had any. With drums beating out a message that sounds increasingly like Jacob Zuma wont last as President until Christmas, other drums are beating and telling us that Jacob's ex wife, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma is the most likely candidate to succeed him.
So brace yourself fellow South Africans, we are in for a circus ride. If you listen to other deranged leaders like old man Bob, the drivel in his speech when he attacked Nelson Mandela, it is pitiful. Even more pitiful is the leader of Black First Land First and his disgusting utterances about the holocaust and the evil the Jews suffered. To joke about that and then try and blame it on Helen Zilla, despicable doesn't even begin to describe how low that piece of leadership went.
A few weeks back Google switched off its artificial intelligence program because the computer suddenly developed its own language that the programmers couldn't understand, I believe it even started communicating with other computers. My point is that it might just be possible that we have found our solution, our next evolutionary step. And if you look at how badly we are performing, worldwide, on issues like environment, health, safety, universal love, then it might just be that the machines could do a better job than the lousy bunch of humans we have entrusted our well being with. I know when I use Google Maps I hardly ever get lost, but when I listen to my wife, well that's a different story.
Anyway there was a slither of hope with the no confidence vote ousting Nelson Mandela Bay's Deputy Mayor, so maybe just maybe the democratic process can have some effect.
I must say that I am secretly proud of our nation in rejecting the eTolls program, which was forced onto us without our consent or even proper consultation. The Transport Minister has now distanced himself from the 'dismal failure' that has left more than six billion Rands of eTolls uncollected.
