If you read the open letter to Shaun Abrahams in The South African, you may even be able to laugh at the absurdity of this situation.
Even Cyril Ramaphosa come out in Pravin's favor saying "As a member of the national executive, I lend my support to minister Gordhan as he faces charges brought against him by the National Prosecuting Authority. I have known and worked with minister Gordhan both in government and during the days of the prosecution of the struggle for a non-racial, non-sexist democratic society."
Timing is everything and to pull this move just before the mid-term budget statement shows the juvenile and misguided character of the motivation.

They can't elect Hilarious Hilary fast enough, she will surely lead them straight into temptation despite the attempts of Assange to expose her email debacle. Looks like they got to Ecuador and shut Julian's emails down.
Well the BRICS Summit should hopefully produce some positive news for SA for a change, that would be nice.
