The hype around the fight of the century, between Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Manny Pacquiao was something almost obscene.
Did we really get up at three o'clock in the morning to watch some guys beating the hell out of each other?
I mean are we really that keen to see two guys thrashing each other inches from death?
Personally I do not get itand I guess what amazed me the most was that even some ladies were getting prepared for the big fight. Popcorn, hot chocolate and warm trendy PJs were purchased by some budding fans. Early morning get togethers were held. I was keen all the way to the first round and then my stomach felt queezie and that was that.
My recent meeting with Swami Vishwananda last week gave me a lot to think about. The message was clear. Universal Love, Peace, Unity for all.
Love everyone around you and see everyone as an extension of you.
It was such an inspirational story. A story that needs to be passed on to every human being an earth.
Look I know this will sound all extremely Hippie and New Age but truly, the concept of universal love is taught in all the scriptures, it not new to any of us.
So getting back to Swami Vishwananda
I believe that we can all attain the ability to feel the love, with the right attitude and a whole lot of guidance.
It would work similar to the App. On your cellphone, you could just tune in and resonate wih Divine Love.
Anyway back to the fight. Honestly, cross my heart, I try not to be judgemental. But I mean what is it all about? Two people beating each other to a pulp for our amusement? Do we really like seeing people in pain?
Boxing is a weird sport, I wonder who invented it. Inciting violence in people is not a sport, beating each other up, almost to death, is not a sport, wishing someone harm is not a sportso how did this become so popular?
The history of boxing is just history, full stop. The truth is that we have been beating each other up for sport since the beginning of time.A vivid scene of barbarians attending a blood sport, salivating in their own debauched, wretched lives. Glad I did not watch it.
When it's all said and done, Swami Vishwananda is a great way to start the week. Knowing that we have the power to love and spread the message of love.
I am sending the love to all of you out there! Spread it around.
