What's the issue?

What's the issue?

As we all prepare ourselves for a world without one of its most formidable leaders, the conflicting reports on Madiba's health seem to fuel the fire of controversy and misinformation. Maybe that is the way some people want it to be. He gave us back our dignity as a nation, but let's not forget, he did not do it alone, millions of South Africans played a part in the success that his incredible leadership produced. I remember kicking teargas canisters in the streets of Yeoville during the "State-Of-Emergency" crisis when police could arrest anyone they smaaked for any reason or none.

In the wake of Madiba's absence I can only employ as many buckets of mirth as I can muster. I laughed so hard I nearly fell off my chair when I read Julius Malema's apology for "giving" us a President like Jacob Zuma. Is this not a case of the kettle calling the pot, oops, can't use that colloquialism. It is funny though how suddenly the grapes in Jacob's bowl turned sour to Malema's pallet. Are we really that gullible? I suppose we are, how sad. But don't worry South Africa, Julius is going to put things right, he is going to give us a president we deserve. I shiver at the thought, but I know that if he does, we will surely deserve it.

At least we don't have the problem Egypt is suffering from. Ousting Morsi seemed easy enough until someone mentioned Coptic Christians. Wow, things moved really fast then. I don't know much about the ramifications of what is going on and who controls the military but I must say that I did suspect that Morsi was a bit of a puppet, I thought that the guy pulling the strings was wearing a star spangled banner, if not on his person then at least in the background somewhere. I don't know what gave me that idea.

Well back home Jacob is shuffling the cabinet again like he was a professional croupier at a black jack table in a busy casino. I thought he had already hit the jackpot. No sooner have they found their seat than they are looking for another one. Minister of Communications, out. Four cabinets in four years. There must be something to read between the lines there, but as I said, I don't know much about anything. Maybe it was all those government contracts her boyfriend got during the controversial Information and Communication Technology Indaba, but I really don't know.

I imagine those ministers heads must be spinning like tops on the school playground. One minute you're minister of corporate governance and traditional affairs and the next your minister of communications. How do they cope? Did I say Cope? Now that is another can of worms, and then there's the DA. Please, somebody Help!
