There were clashes on and off the circuit at this past weekend's Formula One Grand Prix in Sakhir, Bahrain, when protestors clashed with police and Sergio Perez clashed with just about everybody.

None of this dampened Red Bull's champion driver Sebastian Vettel who seemed to take total control of the race in a display of dominant strategy and superiority. Vettel opted for a three-stop strategy that saw him cross the line in front of Lotus' Kimi Raikkonen a massive 9.1 seconds. Red Bull's Mark Webber started his 200th Grand Prix this weekend, but battled his way to finish just seventh after Lewis Hamilton squeezed past him in the last lap. Ferrari was plagued with bad luck but it was the clash between McLaren's teammates, Sergio Perez and Jenson Button, that provided added excitement.

Third place was claimed by Kimi Raikkonen's Lotus teammate Romain Grosjean who drove a fantastic race.

Winning in Bahrain sees Vettel extend his points to lead with 77, ten points ahead of Raikkonen who is on 67. Lewis Hamilton moves into third position with 50, while Fernando Alonso lies fourth on 47. Webber holds onto fifth position with his 32 points.

In the constructor's championship Red Bull now lead with 109 points championship, while Lotus's positive finish this weekend sends them into second place with 93. Ferrari follows in third place on 77 points while Mercedes keep themselves in the running on 64.

Once again tyres played a major role in the race as they do on your car, so contact Kwik Fit on 032 533 8502 and let them keep you in the race.
