What's the issue?

What's the issue?

The world is in turmoil, not as much turmoil as the KZN municipal political environment, we're not that far gone as yet. Anyway the Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu was on a flight from an international amphibious assault competition, (I kid you not we are that far gone), after launching a Naval School when his plane was being tailed by a NATO F-18 fighter jet. Not clever. Anyway the Minister's plane was being escorted by two Sukhoi Su-27 jets, which quickly dispatched the tail.

KZN's municipalities did not fare so well with the mayors of both Pietermaritzburg and Durban being axed, along with the Executive Councils, a day for justice might be in the making. PMB has been left so late that the municipality has collapsed almost completely, Durban hot on its heels. Service delivery in these municipalities a reflection of how completely incompetent the council has proven itself to be. Here in Durban people are calling for the correct process to be followed, which is to first pay back the money and then to go to prison. That sounds about right. Not going to happen. The ex mayors are to be redeployed to other positions yet to be determined. That's how you bight without using your teeth. Wait but, you must hear, Paddy Harper of the Mail and Guardian did a piece on this landslide loss of 'mayordom' in KZN and in it he quoted ANC provincial secretary Mdumiseni Ntuli who said this, "We are convinced that the absence of change of leadership in some municipalities is certainly a prescription for instability and, if remains unattended, will tarnish the confidence and image of the ANC." Now I want to know who told him this.

Anyway I am so glad that Busisiwe's remedial action is on hold, and her responses to the ruling by an honourable judge beg the question who does the Public Protector work for Does she get paid in illegal cigarettes I am not aware of anything that Busi is doing that is wholeheartedly in the Public interest. Please tell me if you know.

Meanwhile international incidents are being averted every day and tensions tested every day. India is test firing its rockets and missiles, while the turf war in Kashmir continues, what are they thinking Those guys have nukes for goodness sakes. Don't provoke them!

Dump and his trade war with China keeps us entertained, the latest move postponed tariffs on some Chinese products, mainly cell phones and laptops, to a resounding bounce back in the stock markets. Maybe a little more thinking is required in this little tit for tat war.
