What's the issue?

What's the issue?

I had to laugh at the 'no confidence vote' attempt brought again the Mayor of Johannesburg, Herman Mashaba, and his comments as to why the motion was withdrawn, he tauntingly suggested that maybe the ANC didn't have enough money to buy enough votes in the council to bring the motion against him. Never the less and in spite of this fact, they intend to try and bring the motion again at a later stage. Herman Mashaba wrote a depressing column on News24, where he outlines just how Gauteng Premier David Makhura is actively working against the city of Joburg, even in their efforts to root out corruption.

Meanwhile two municipalities in KZN are collapsing in on themselves, with Durban's ex mayor finally actually resigning, instead of being fired, like that would ever happen.

Anyway, we may never have to worry about these things with the way it's going in Israel and the Middle East. Israel has allegedly been sending kamikaze drone strikes into three countries and they are all fed up now. Lebanon, Iran and Iraq have all had enough with terms like "a declaration of war" and "allows us to resort to our right to defending our sovereignty."

These are terms that the politicians usually use before going to war. Iraq is demanding the removal of all US troops from its country after a series of attacks on Iran allied Shiite militia Popular Mobilization Units. Again those words, "which we consider to be a declaration of war on Iraq and its people."

All this against the backdrop of Iran announcing the successful test of a new missile. Are they just rising to the bait of the warmongers And if so, do they have any options I can hear caching caching.

And you may say I am hearing things, but look at the arms race going down now with Putin ordering a "symmetrical response" to America's development of new INF, (Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces), missiles. America disbandoned the agreement that would prevent these weapons, blaming Russia without any evidence or even an effort to produce anything concrete to justify terminating the international agreement.

In the meantime Turkey's President Erdogan is looking to replace the country's fleet of fighter jets, a race between the Americans and the Russia and is on. No small piece of money that. Big bucks.

All the while our lungs are burning. The fire in Notre Dam is being compared to the fire in the amazon, and then out comes an accusation that the president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, is actively seeking to destroy the amazon forest in efforts to develop bridges, motorways and hydro electric plants. I thought it was trash at first then I read how Jair was refusing millions of dollars, twenty two millions, to aid fighting the fire. Jair's ego must have inflated at a rapid rate, so fast that his head must have ceased to operate, when he proposed to accept the millions of dollars in aid to stop the fire that is burning the lungs of the world, only if French Presidet Emanuel Macron retracts an insult to his person. This, my people, is what we are dealing with. FFS!
