Unconfirmed reports of an array of atrocities being committed by the Zimbabwean military and Police are pouring across the border faster than the illegal aliens are pouring across our porous borders. And following very closely behind them are reports that seem to be confirming the atrocities that Mnangagwa's troops and officers are in fact engaging in exactly what they are being accused of.
While Emmerson is scrambling to quash the protests against his fuel hike, he is being bombarded with advice from Julius, and I'll give him some more free advice, mine being, take it from whence it comes. I shudder at reports of
Back home and Cyril got a letter from the five biggest investors in South Africa expressing their concerns over the rule of law.
The same concerns that Max du Preez, a highly accomplished political analyst, expressed when he said publically "The most astonishing phenomenon of 2019 is that the utterly corrupt who helped steal 100s of billions & destroyed the SOEs & the criminal justice system are still strutting around unashamedly in public as if the last 9 years never happened. And we let them" unquote. Some of us are more concerned that it breeched protocol, FFS, than the alarming content of the message.
Anyway it looks as if things might change with our new head of the National Prosecuting Authority, Advocate Shamila Batohi, who hasn't even been in office for three days, has already been informed that Julius does not trust her. I say let's give her a break, trust her, she has a lot of ammunition.
Her in-tray must be piled up with juicy cases just dripping with the dirty facts of all the shenanigans that are oozing out of the three commissions of enquiry that are running currently. This is one of those 'watch this space' moments. The suspense is just growing, excuse the pun.
The politicians' true colours are coming out all over the world, it's like a great coming-out-of-the-closet of corruption, lies, deceit, maladministration, embezzlement, fake news, gangsterism, fraud, racketeering and plain old theft.
Check John Bolton, unashamedly admitting that the US's meddling in Venezuela has very little or at worst nothing to do with protecting democracy and in his own words, the reason they are backing the illegal coup taking place in that country is, "It will make a big difference to the United States economically if we could have American oil companies invest in and produce the oil capabilities in Venezuela," there he said it.
Unlike the two faced approach of our friend Julius, gargling down the rich fine foods with a select and expensive bottle of Rupert & Rothschild's red, all the while purporting to be in abhorrence of the colonialist.
I won't nauseate you with my opinion on the hate and drivel that's spewing out of the lower rungs of our society, worse still that it is so politically motivated. Someone is paying someone to get someone to say and do some fake stuff so they can get or keep control of the purse strings. Because God forbid the politicians allow the people's money to be spent on the people.
