Oh the things people eat, I am amazed that we still have some of the products on our shelves, never mind the polony, look at margarine. How do they do it
Well the hot dog scare with the sodium nitrates is an old case, well documented and we still eating the stuff. Whatever happened to good old vegetables
Speaking of poisoning, the British media is throwing caution to the wind and jumping on the bandwagon over the poisoning of a Russian spy. Unveiled accusations hurled at Putin are the latest brand of Russiaphobia and from an outsiders point of view I have to say that when you betray your country for financial gain, then you expose yourself to some very strong feelings. Nobody deserves to be poisoned, and it sad that Sergie's daughter seems to be a victim of the attack as well, however you don't need to be a neurosurgeon to know that the Russian's don't take that kind of thing lightly, I don't know many who do. Just ask Alexandra Litvinenko, oh sorry you can't, they killed him. Anyway Boris the buffoon Johnson immediately started threatening sanctions against Russia for the attack, while Moscow offered to help with the investigation, something the UK didn't even ask for. Strange how that is.
Talking about war and I must bring up the trade war that Donald Dump is masterminding with his position on steel and aluminium imports into the US, angering Theresa and many more, but wait a minute, have you seen how well American interests are doing. While their president tweets and causes hysteria, their stats are really impressive. The DOW is up, higher than ever, US manufacturing is sky rocketing, job creation is going great guns, (excuse the pun), and dependency on food stamps is at an all time low.
Not so fabulous in Northern Syria with the US perpetuating the civil war by backing the Kurdish militia, drawing the deadly attention of Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. It's an unholy mess is what it is.
Here at home there is so much pandemonium around the expropriation of land without compensation. Eveerybody is an expert with so much conjecture going around it's like a flu pandemic. I predict that it will be the stumbling block for Julius and his EFF party, and if not then it will be the stumbling block of our beautiful rainbow nation. It is not only unconstitutional, it is illegal on an international level. So before Donald Dump gets involved and boms the daylights out of us, I hope we sort it out.
Cool heads have prevailed with the ANC withdrawing its ludicrous debate on nationalising the South African Reserve Bank. Oh and our national hero Pravin Gordhan has promised to reverse the effects of state capture. As far as I see it we still have to uncapture ourselves before we can reverse the damage done.
What we really should be watching is the warning from some bullion analysts that an imminent collapse of the Dollar and other major currencies would cause a gold rush that would see the precious metal reach as high as ten thousand dollars an ounce, very quickly. I'm off to buy some gold from IBV Gold as soon as I can get my hands on some cash.
