Through my eyes

Through my eyes

Author: Kasia Yoko

All that you are attached to, all that you love, all that you know, someday will be gone.

Knowing this, and that the world is your mind which you create, play in, and suffer from,

is known as discrimination.

Discriminate between the Real and the Unreal, the known is unreal and will come and go.

So stay with the Unknown, the Unchanging, the Truth.

~ Papaji

It has been a while since I had a proper whinge. And even though I don't really want to do it, I find it's my only form of communicating the story of what has been eating me up inside.

I was appalled by some of the comments made on social media relating to the tragic demise of Siam Lee. Her horrific death has touched all of our lives, yet some were so quick to condemn her, rubbish her and ridicule her existence.

I acknowledge that there are trolls everywhere. There are also people who are so perfect in their creation, so immaculate in their every action and so immensely righteous as to make those horrendous comments about a beautiful young girl who was murdered by a psychopath.

The whole social media abuse started when the media got hold of the story that Siam worked in a "House of Disrepute". Oh, so now "She was asking for it" and "What did she expect "

Oh and lets not forget the blame and shame that was directed at her grief stricken mother, story for another time.

Back to shaming the dead girl. How many of you reading this blamed her profession for her murder

Ok, so sensual masseuse might not be your career choice, but what makes you think it was Siam Lee's

Last week I met the ladies from Desi Girls (See page 10 for the full story), I was truly touched by their sweet mannerism and kind nature.

No, they are not prostitutes they are Tantric Massage Therapists. For those that don't understand the term, it's effectively a sensual, erotic massage with a 'happy ending'.

Ok, before you start shouting and reaching for your phone to give me a piece of your mind, I don't condone it but I also refuse to judge it.

I don't believe that all the girls enjoy this profession. For most it's a stepping-stone to getting along until they save enough money to apply for their dream job. For others it is a way to maybe meet a man of their dreams and get married and live happily forever after.

This profession is giving them a sense of belonging. It's allowing them to have a family that maybe they don't have and it allows them to be part of a sisterhood, something that we all crave.

So NO! I would not like to be a Sensual Masseuse or take advantage of their services but so what Not everyone is the same.

This career choice creates many jobs and it obviously enjoys a huge following as seen on recent news reports about the amount of places opening up all around us.

So next time you want to point a finger, see the bigger picture and try to love love lovewhatever that means to you.
