Through my eyes

Through my eyes

It ain't all love 'n' light down here folks

Oh gosh, its that time of the year again, its VALENTINE'S DAY time. While some people hate it and dread the whole big fuss over something as trivial as LOVE. Others like me rejoice.

Even though I'm excited about the celebration of the sacred sacrament of love, I respect those that think the whole spectacle of Valentines Day is a 'big stupid farce'. I get it. Not everyone is in love or wants to be in lovemany believe that love is over rated.

I kid you not! A few of my friends have given up on love and relationships all together and the whole love affair 'song and dance' does not interest them in the least.

Years of failed relationships, betrayals and heartache drove many people to seclusion. Safeguarding their shattered and bruised psyche is the alternative to seeking a loving partner these days, and that I can understand.

Love has been cheapened somewhat through the various online dating sites that are filled with freaks and opportunists, hiding behind the pretence of love and nurture.

There is so much deceit surrounding love these days and I am not surprised that so many people shy away from it. The confusion and disappointment that follows grows out of a misunderstanding of what is meant when someone says, "I love you."

I am often reminded to be sensitive when I'm gushing and spewing about love and all my airy-fairy ideals, there are some people who are wounded and deeply damaged by love and unlike most, they cannot experience the euphoria I go on about.

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel, a glimmer of hope in the void of 'lovelessness'. Believing in love is the first step.

I so wish I could reach out to everyone out there who is feeling the pain and agony of love tragedy.

Like so many before me I do feel that sharing your life with your soul mate is part of your purpose for having this experience in the realm of time and space. Search your heart; it never lies - as long as you are willing to hear the honest truth. It could simply be that your heart has closed for a reason other than anything to do with him or her.

Do not give up on love, celebrate the undiscovered and believe that there is someone out there that is right for you!

Sending you lots of love this February and forever remember that nothing heals a broken heart like love does.
