Under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), funny name, Iran will have the right to develop nuclear power for peaceful energy usage.
No sooner was it signed than Ben, Prime Minister of Israel was quoted as saying "this agreement is a historic mistake for the world," he hinted at an out of balance desire to sign the deal, one that turned a blind eye to the possibility of Iran becoming able to produce a nuclear weapon.
Would the US allow such a thing to happen just to gain some political agenda? If we want the real answer to that then we need to look a little more closely at Nine - Eleven.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also spoke in Vienna, where the deal was done, reminding the US President Barak Obommer that he had said the US would abandon their plans to develop the AMD, America's missile defence system. I'm thinking, and my buddy Ben is probably also thinking that the missile defence system is even more important now that another country in the region is to get nuclear technology. But then that is just my twisted and warped brain doing its thing.
Bombs are going off closer to home, just bombs of a different sort. Information bombs, like the information that the tiny little country of Lesotho is facing the outrage of having a disgraced Judge reinstated as the country's Court of Appeal president. That poor little country is under such stress right now, maybe we should just annex the little postage stamp.
According to Lucky Montana, CEO of PRASA, South Africa's passenger rail agency, the outrage and criticism of the tender, which was reported as a blunder, was totally unfounded. Then, out with the race card for a quick flash and our sensitivities were placated with the news that the railway locomotives do actually fit our system. Testing continues.
On the political scene the bubbles are slowly starting to rise to the surface with the DA moving in on eThekweni and the Cosatu congress showed Vavi and Numsa that they are not to be taken for granted.
The more I see and hear of Mmusi Maimane, the more I fear for the ANC. Maimane brazenly stated that Jacob Zuma's cattle in Nkandla live a better life than many South Africans.
For those of you affected by the water restrictions I must appeal to you to save save save and employ the motto of "If it is yellow, let it mellow. If it is brown, flush it down." Hopefully this will save you kilolitres.
