Whats The Issue?

Whats The Issue?

In an instant Musi Maimane, or Main Man, as he is fast becoming known, was rocketed to national hero status when he lambasted our president and number one in parliament. If he is number one. Is he number one? Anyway, he gave the guy at the top a tongue lashing that left nobody in doubt that respect had left the room like so many EFF supporters. Only this time it was not by number one's bidding but by his doing.

Huge respect goes to Vladimir Putin, a president who seems to have his people's needs much closer to his heart than our president does. His cool headed approach to the blatant attack on Russia by the UN, USA and EU makes the war mongering Westerners look like inmates in high security detention ward for violent crazy people. Their penchant for war has been outweighed by Putin's chess like moves, countering the subversive strategies of a powerful nation, corrupted by its power.

The USA's threat to supply arms and munitions to Kiev, at this stage of the cease-fire agreement, is such blatant war mongering I feel the urge to puke more strongly than a tsunami wave. Putin's response was to say "It seemed to me that the leaders of France and Germany, have a genuine desire to find such compromise solutions that would lead to the final settlement of the conflict," while old Petro Poroshenko, the president of the Ukraine's response was to ratify a new law that creates a joint military unit with Poland and Lithuania. Personally I think it is time for them to step down from the brink of an outright war and elect a new president. But no body will make the bags of money that a war will generate unfortunately so maybe that is not such a good idea. Unless you are one of the "collateral damage" people that stand to pay with their lives. Do they ever think about these people?

Then there is the 'spygate' that is happening all over the world. The USA and RSA were spying on Iran together, and that the CIA asked some SA spy to help them make contact with Hamas. Edward Snowden is having regrets about the large lumps of military material and other secret stuff he leaked, he regrets not leaking it sooner.

Well as we reel in the wake of Jacob Zuma's state of the nation debacle, our neighbour Bob is getting ready to celebrate another birthday in power over a starving Zimbabwe, He plans to roll out a party where they will feast on the meat of a Lion and an Elephant, a party that will cost a reported one million US dollars, and all this while his minister of finance begs some leniency in paying back their mammoth debt that they have notched up over the years.

Durban recently seems to have won the bid for the commonwealth games in 2022, the only other city in the running pulled out, I wonder why? Financial reasons, they have cited eh, well we don't have that problem here at eTkeweni, we have plenty of money for things like car shows and sporting events and stuff.
