Through My Eyes

Through My Eyes

Author: Kasia Yoko
Date: 2014-05-09
As I write this I am celebrating eighteen years ago I looked at the scrunched up face of my second born son and marvelled at the genius of creation.

He was such a beautiful boy and from day one he was my little 'schnoekie' (a term I am no longer allowed to use when referring to him) but it is a small price to pay for a son who has brought me so much joy.

This week when I think of the mothers of the girls, who were abducted in Nigeria, I weep. I cannot understand and maybe someone can explain to me how in the 21st century children get abducted and the world looks on in horror and the governments do nothing.

'I abducted your girls ... By Allah, I will sell them' Nigerian Islamist Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau has claimed responsibility for the abduction.

We all know that the men who kidnapped the girls are self-serving terrorists corrupting the name of the Islamic religion. What happened to "there is no compulsion in religion" and "to you, be your way, and to me, mine"? And no marriage is valid without the girl or woman's consent!

This is outrageous and I just cannot understand how it was allowed to happen in this day and age. We all know these f@£$%* aren't doing it in the name of religion, they're doing it for their own benefit.

The important questions are 'What is being done to find these girls? How can incidents like this be prevented, regardless of where they occur?'

Atrocities have been committed for centuries in the name of many religions. At the end of the day it matters not what faith the terrorists are believed to belong to. They are twisted and evil. The simple fact is that these low life cowards evidently are not man enough for grown women so they choose to destroy the lives of innocent children instead. There is no excuse. They are inhumane and need to be exterminated.

My good friend Steve has shed some light onto this situation; having spent some time in Nigeria he has some understanding of their system. "Every time something like this happens you have to follow the money." Steve said, "Boko Haram are just pawns in a bigger play for power and they don't even realize it."

"Nigeria is now the world's number one supplier of oil outside of the Middle East. Boko Haram wants you to believe it's about religion but I'm pretty sure it's more about the Arab power."

He Continued, "No one can pin point how they are being funded but whomever is funding these efforts has brainwashed a large group of illiterate men into thinking this is about religion when it really comes down to money."

"Cause chaos, prove the government to be incompetent, which is not that hard, get oil companies to want to back out of the country, buy majority shares for cheap."

When you read this, you will be getting ready to vote, make sure that your vote ensures the freedom for the children of our country!
