What's the issue?

What's the issue?

Well that is Easter all over and done with. The guilt of us having killed our saviour is just too much to bear, even though I can blame it on the Jews or the Romans depending which History books I read. Shooting the messenger is something we as humans are prone to doing.

It is such a common knee-jerk response that sometime we still so it even when we know that we are doing it. So when they started running Thuli Madonsela down for delivering the Nkandla Report, it was the messenger getting it in the neck instead of the perpetrator.

But bringing the perpetrator to book will be much more difficult than levelling accusations against the public protector. In any event we will carry on doing this, like they are doing in Ukraine with Putin delivering a message to the Western World and everybody wanting to shoot him down.

Time will show what it is they are trying to achieve there, but don't listen to US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, she reckons that invading an office with armed militia is OK if they have permission to do so, I think referring to the invasion of the buildings and streets by protestors in Kiev who toppled the previous Government and installed the present one.

So by her account one is OK while the other is bad. I never cease to be amazed at how two sided everything is when politics gets involved. Anyway, we are going to the polls very soon, and we have I think 15 million registered voters, 15 out of 48. That is less than half and the future of our country lies in their hands.

We have councillors being shot and the show of intimidation beginning to sneak into public view and the IEC will call it a free and fair election once again I am sure. The outcome of the election seems predestined; we will surely go on in the direction we are headed for at least another four years before everybody sees the light of day.

I feel overwhelmed by the level of corruption and maladministration we have had to deal with a s a young democracy. I know it is a worldwide problem, but when you visit an Aids orphaned, teenage headed household and see the level of suffering the children have to endure, the thought of some fat cat stealing money intended for low cost housing and AIDS drugs and feeding schemes I cant stop the red rage from boiling behind my ayes and making me as mad as a snake.

So Jesus died on the cross to forgive us our sins. Well some of us do not deserve his forgiveness, I assure you of that fact.
