What is the issue

What is the issue

The resounding slap from the EFF leader that was delivered to a Policeman could be a very clear indication of the kind of leadership we can expect, as a country, from that party. And the reasoning behind the slap corroborates with deception. The wool is being pulled already.

Cyril on the other hand has to be congratulated because he managed to deliver the State Of The Nation Address without using the F word once. Amazing. In fact he could have saved us all a lot of time and just used the adjective derivative of that word and we could all go home and sulk.

The Bosasa debacle seems unfathomable, as the depths of its depravity just get deeper and deeper. Scuba divers with tri-gas don't even get that deep.

Running a country is not easy, but running a country into the ground is looking really very easy from where I'm sitting. Hang the Judiciary and the Justice system and then even when there is a spotlight on corruption and state theft, you can carry on being corrupt and steal even more billions, and then go and play golf at Wanderer's Golf Club, swank through the Nelson Mandela Square leaving a trail of squander as an insult to your ancestry. It looks so easy from here. Almost no effort required, once the cops and the courts are captured.

That's how you get away with over fifty six billion Rands worth of "unauthorised, irregular and wasteful expenditure."

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi officially takes over the post of ceremonial head of the AU from Rwandan President Paul Kagame. The position is passed around between the five regions of Africa, hopefully not like a hot potato. Abdel is more likely to concentrate on security issues and military strategy than the key issue facing Africa and the AU, and that is corruption, of course. A scourge the whole continent suffers from.

Meanwhile in the US Republican Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma is pointing and wagging his finger towards China, accusing China of quote, "It's like you're preparing for World War III." Now I for one would not blame China for their actions, the Trump inspired trade war is just a beginning. America's influence in expanding NATO up to and around Russia's borders doesn't help any and having invaded or bombed, or both, the list of countries including Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, the Philippines, while threatening war on Iran, North Korea and now Venezuela, and the underhanded way they are sending lethal weapons into the Ukraine while undermining the democratically elected Victor Yanukovych with the intentions of placing their own puppet guy in his place.

Darius Shahtahmasebisaid it the best when he wrote, "Come on, the message is getting across. If you are a lesser nation without a nuclear supply or the backing of a major nuclear power, you will find the US military right on your doorstep. If you are more of a handful and require a less upfront approach, you will find the US military right next door, peering in the window, all the while American sanctions wreak havoc on your economy."

And as for the Poms and Brexit, well I don't know what to say.
