What is the issue

Well there you go, now we all know what radical economic transformation really means. Let's face it we all knew all along that that is what it was trying to be from the start. I mean I am probably a socialist, the Church only wants 10%, they were doing fine with 10% until the "state" came along. Anyway from the beginning of time we would all contribute to a communal pot of some sort or other so that we could tend to the needs of our community.

Enter stage left the ugly character of human greed. The plot thickens and hey presto we have the people who are posturing as the saviours, actually being the detractors. They hide behind so many screens of correctness. Political correctness and gender correctness are just refined versions of the correctness that politicians have been using as shields since the state was first formed.

It takes just a small band of bullies to take control of a community. Many communities will yield to the bully, but only for so long. Then it erupts and if you ask Marie-Antoinette, nobody will actually get offered any cake.

So some maths boffins have calculated that we the people of South Africa are now out of pocket, and they're pointing their fingers at the Zuma effect, to the tune of one trillion Rand. Swallow that. So when a bully compares twenty rand to two billion rand you can almost start getting used to talking telephone numbers in cash. See "Ten Years After the Lehman collapse: SA's Post-crisis Performance in Perspective", by BER economist Harri Kemp.

Reading the news I feel like I should fall to my knees and wretch my guts out in a psychedelic yawn of disgust with the putrid display of immoral depravity and the VBS Bank heist. Such a naked display of utter greed, oh my puke button, just thinking about it. "Cyril knew," they claim. Wake up! They all knew. It is a free for all. I know, you thought I was going to say it was a free for all. No! No past tense here. This is still our situation. We are still captured. I would like to believe that Cyril is the man who will lead us, like Daniel out of the lion's den. I want to believe that if he knew, he could not do anything because his hands are still tied. Oh, I am so naive.

I had better shut up because journalists' lives aren't valued much. Just look at what happened to Jamal, he disappeared in a Saudi Embassy and then we get left with Hofstatter and Wa Afrika, cant we make an appointment for them to visit that embassy.

Anyway, all of this will pale into insignificance if the predictions of another Black Monday prove true. Equity sell offs in the NYSE are reportedly beginning to mirror the movements of October 1987.

So just to add panic to the scare, news that SARS's IT system has not been maintained since 2014 and then add to that the irregular expenditure bill from treasury of around R769 million and the picture of precarious comes plainly into view.
