What is the issue

What is the issue

As the State Capture enquiry gets underway I have to caution everyone into not expecting too much, mainly because I am under the impression that out state is still very much captured.

I mean just take the WI-FI tender in Tswane for example, that sort of thing should never be able to happen, yet it did.

What I am alluding to is maybe not so much a state of capture any more than it is now the Deep State, operating with impunity as our yet to be empowered President waits out the time until he is duly elected into real power. Until then I suspect we will remain under the influence of the powers that be, which are responsible for the continuing drain on our countries resources and the endless abuse of money from state coffers.

While the farmers are panicking over the land grab issue and many already having placed their farms on the market in the hope to sell out of the uncertainty. I maintain that the entire issue is one big political ploy that will dissipate like so much fog before the midday sun, once we have concluded the national election next year.

There may be nowhere for our farmers to run the way things are developing in Europe. Donald Dump has really thrown the cat amongst the pigeons with his trade embargoes and economic pressures that he is imposing on the world. Turkey's president Erdogan said, "The attack on our economy has absolutely no difference from attacks on our call to prayer and our flag," referring to the US economic moves that have plunged the countries currency into crisis.

America's penchant for sanctions, particularly the sanctions embroiled in the Iran nuclear deal have nation states like Iran regretting ever having signed the nuclear deal. Despite them having kept to their side of the deal, America has reneged and the sanctions have become even more harsh.

However we can all collectively hang our heads in shame with the on-going bombardment of one of the poorest countries in the world. Yemen has been at the receiving end of the worlds most advanced weapons, most of them provided by the UK and the US. Massive amounts of money have these two western powers turning a blind eye to the on-going atrocities and genocide and every conceivable and disgusting human trait being inflicted on these poor people.

Busses of school children, hospitals, civilian centres, nothing is sacred, and nothing is spared in the total destruction falling form the skies.

I myself am a little uneducated in this conflict. A conflict that has rained death, disease, famine, thirst and almost every conceivable ailment on some of the poorest people on the planet.

We have so far to go to become human beings, so much more learning and compassion is required before we can claim that status.
