What is the issue

Wake up people! Wake up! Don't hit that snooze button again! NO! If you do your coffee will really be cold, so cold it will have a think layer of skin grown over the top of it.

The ANC is headlong into their National Conference, probably the most important conference for our country that our ruling party has ever held. The future of every South African hangs in the balance of the outcome. The ghost of Kwezi has been evoked in an effort to swing the vote and the book about Jacob Zuma, 'Enemy Of The People' by ourformer National Treasury Director General, Lungisa Fuzile, adds to the massive pile of material pointing a finger at our president.

So it is with tightly clenched hands in prayer position that I utter very quietly my prayer for sanity to prevail and for the forces of good to overcome the forces of evil that have a strngle hold on our nation. I pray that we the people wake up from this induced coma of indifference and take a stand against the general slide into the proverbial gutter that our nation is experiencing.

I mean look at it, 80% of grade 4 students in South Africa can't read. That is an alarm bell ringing so loud it should never be ignored. One of our presidential hopefuls, Nkasazana Dlamini-Zuma stated that if she wins the seat as ANC President then she will take white people on a bus trip to show them that black people living in informal settlements live worse than their dogs. Well my one friend cooks only chicken breast and rump steak for her dog, which has a better life than I do. I would love to be Nkosazana's advisor if she gets into office, I will come up with some very creative ways of redirecting the billions and billions of Rands that ordinarily would go straight into the pockets of some very dodgy politicians, no names mentioned, and no bus trips would be necessary.

With Santa Clause checking his list for boys and girls who have behaved or misbehaved this year, I can't help but wonder what Jacob will be getting for Christmas. A sturdy shovel would be a great gift for him so that he can shovel all the crap he has brought down on the heads of the poorest of the poor with his state capture deals and then after cleaning of fthe spade he can shovel some of the millions and billions back into the state economy so the poorest of our land can maybe get a better life. Sound familiar

On the international scene the averse response to Donald Dump's announcement that he is going to move the American Embassy to Jerusalem has got me wondering if it isn't a calculated move. Many people warned that it would ignite a war that has been simmering for decades. I grabbed my calculator and started trying to calculate just how much money such a war would generate in arms and ammunitions, medical supplies, and of course the rebuilding of Israel once the war was over, if it ever ended. I got ot an astronomical amount of money, something Donald may have been hoping for in the first place.

There goes this year, many are happy to see it out, may the next one be much much better for all concerned. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
