What is the issue

After I received several digital copies of "The President's Keepers" by balsey author Jacques Pauw, I decided it would be my civic duty to read it. I have yet to complete this duty and must add that it may take some time. I'm not sure the revelations that are made in that book will change anything, so captured are we.

The sex scandal that is rocking the entertainment industry in Hollywood has so many raised eyebrows, and although I don't condone such behaviour, I must say that the 'casting couch' was a phenomenon way back in the sixties when I was still wet behind the ears, and if anything I'm sure it was going on long before I was born. It is such a good thing that this degrading practice has been dragged kicking and screaming onto centre stage, and I for one hope that this puts a stop to the sordid practice. However, considering how diametrically apposed the male and female gender groups are, and the civil structures governing sexual behaviour, I have little hope that it will be completely eradicated. Guys just need to learn to keep it in their pants and the stigma of masturbation needs to be eradicated as well. Some relief might come from that and medical research has proven that a lot of health benefits await the practitioner.

One wanker, (you see what I did there, shaming the natural relief mechanism, a practice that works negatively against the social problem I am referring to) a guy with orange tan and unruly hair, is behaving more like a weapons sales person than a floundering country's president. Donald should have a chat with Jacob, he could warn him of the pitfalls of weapons deals. That "Spy Tapes" saga just won't go away and the DA wants to know how much the whole saga cost in legal fees. They can blow rice dust into a hurricane and they will get more out of that than their pertinent question.

Anyway Donald goes on stirring the Nuclear Pot and pointing at Rocket Man like he's a real danger, when actually.. Weapons sales did take on a little limelight in the news this week with Russian President Vladimir Putin took aim at what could only have been the US weapons salesman, he was quoted as saying, "Instead of a genuine fight against terrorist groups we see a simulation of this fight while uncontrolled arms deliveries grow. One day the weapons go to so-called 'moderate opposition' in this or that place, and the next day they are in the hands of radicals and terrorists,"said Putin, he continued adding,"It appears that the conflict zones have become for some just a lucrative business, a link in the chain of 'gray' schemes of supply of arms to nations and regions suffering from military and political instability." Just like South Africa was when the arms deal went down.

Moving quickly on from there, Cyril Ramaphosa's announcement of who he would appoint in his cabinet sent ripples through the political elite with what looks like a well thought out selection. We can only hope he gets his way.
