Through my eyes

Through my eyes

As we face the last stretch to the end of the year in anticipation of that well deserved holiday, and if not holiday then definitely a couple of days off, I am patiently watching the calendar and counting the days - less than 90 days to Christmas! Yippee

We have just come back from a beautiful space in Swaziland, it is a lodge situated in the most pristine piece of African bush I have ever seen, on the shore of Lake Jozini. The silence was overwhelming, interrupted only by the sounds of the birds and wild animals in the background. Please see my article on page 6.

Long, long ago Confucius said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."

I love what I doI promise but I just can't help feeling pooped around this time of the year, and there is nothing I can do about it, except to check out into a quiet spot and get some much needed inspiration.

So while I was away at Kujabula Lodge, I spent my days reading motivational and inspirational material and I must say, its good to be at my desk ready for whatever may come my way.

With that in mind I would love to share some wisdom that I derived from my while in the bush over the last few days. Firstly, struggle is good so never say "I can't take it anymore." Rather say "Bring it on!"

Don't complain, it is the biggest waste of time there is. Either do something about it, and if you can't, shut up about it.

Spend time with people you love, whomever they are, they don't need to be family.

Be Grateful, just say thank you!

Stop caring what people think, who cares what people think of you What does it really matter

Take more risks and stop being a wimp.

Money is not that important so train yourself not to care about it too much and focus on providing value instead. Also, don't become too dependent on the stuff you own, otherwise, the stuff will own you.

Remember to rest before you are tired even if you love your job, and every day seems like a holiday, you need to take time to rest.

Try not to judge (I know its hard) remember just because people make different choices than you, they are not stupid. Also, you don't know everything about people, so don't judge them, help them.

Give and don't keep score. You will become a bitter person if you do. Give solely for the joy of giving. If you get something in return, great, if you don't, also great.

Know that there is no 'End Game', we, as a species, justare. Don't try to figure it all out. Enjoy your journey.

And don't take yourself so seriously, just think of it this waywe are just a big family of ants chasing after that last crumbso just lighten up.

Create something, anything, it is very stimulating.

So if you are feeling like you are going to burn out, take action now! Don't just sit there, do something. Without action, there is no outcome.

Sending love and light!
