Through my eyes

Through my eyes

Crises are a Part of Life

It's a rare day that you turn on the television or open the newspaper and don't encounter a story about a crisis unfolding somewhere in this crazy world.

Just last week reports of two attempted suicides rocked our tiny community and had a real incredible affect on me.

Crises come in all shapes and sizes. Some are very public like sending the photo of your private bits (by mistake) to a public whatsapp group.Others are less public, like not paying your electricity account on time and KwaDukuza arrives on your doorstep unannounced on a Thursday morning to turn your power off.

The crisis could have been caused by someone on your team that you barely know, or it could have been caused by you.But suddenly, there it is,and how you manage it can make all the difference in the world.

When that bombshell drops, your instinct could be to go into panic mode. You may want to run away and hide, or lash out, or get defensive. All of these are perfectly natural reactions, but all are theexact opposite of what you should do.

And one more thingdon't think you're immune to crisiswe all have our moments. No one in this life is immune to crisis.

So if you are going through a crisis, don't resort to self harm and mutilation. Stand up and face the dragon. What is the worst thing that can happen A candle lit dinner for two

Here are some useful tips for all those experiencing crisis today.
