Apparently not, the ludicrous insinuations against our Finance Minister haveonce again brought into question the integrity of our leadership of this country.
As we head straight into the razor sharp jaws of junk status, with Washington rubbing its hands together with glee, (us being a BRICS member and all) the criminal charges against Finance Minister Praving Gordan surface once again and cause such consternation as to be mistaken for a cartoon joke.
The debacle in Brazil, with their president being impeached makes me suspicious, (another BRICS country) the putrid smell of "Arab Spring" style undertones perk up my conspiracy theory suspicions, I would love to know the outcome of the legal process in that case. There is that issue where Dilma's supporters blame the dominant media coverage for the impeachment.
But it is all about the money, and here we are trying to save our economy but the President seems oblivious. Is that possible? Can it be that Jacob doesn't know how sensitive it is for our economy at this stage to allow Pravin to get on with the job, even if he is looking for anomalies in the tax collecting SARS institution? It can't be that he is not aware of the situation, he is a clever man. So what alternative explanation could there be? Why would an arrest warrant for Pravin make its way into the news at this stage? Are we trying to be funny or are we just being funny by default?
I know that this is now hallowed ground. Speculation will get a journalist killed or maybe even locked up in jail, which could be worse. But I am left wondering, how can it be at this stage, when Pravin is scratching to try and prevent the Rand from being labelled as JUNK, that our president is hurling obstacles in his way, continuously? It makes me wonder whether or not it is possible that this is being done deliberately and if so, who's paying for it?
The signs are everywhere in the Bible, in the Vedas, even in the Bhagavad Gita, where the quote below should raise a few of those hair follicles on your forearm at least, if not the hair on the back of your neck.
"In the Age of Kali, mlecchas, or lowborn people who have not undergone the purifying process of sa?sk?ra, who do not know how to apply that process in actual life, and who are covered by the modes of passion and ignorance will take the posts of administrators. These barbarians will devour the citizenry with their atheistic activities, murdering innocent women, children, cows and br?hma?as and coveting the wives and property of other men. They will be erratic in their moods, have little strength of character and be very short-lived. - Srimad Bhagavatam 12.1.39-40"
Predictions of R60 to the Dollar have me panicking and searching for that left over bottle of Vodka I am sure I hid somewhere near here.
