What's The Issue?

What's The Issue?

Author: Tomas Yoko

You think your president has problems? Running away from questions at Davos, and dropping poor Pravin in the hot seat, only for him to be rejected by some snobbish president or other, at a cost to us tax payers of an alleged four million Rand I might add. A few possible charges and a guy in a red beret.

Think about Putin. Boy have they got the knives out for Putin. Jacob might be providing comic relief at the World Economic Forum, but things have got so bad out there that Putin might have to sue the English government and media for defamatory comments made about him and the murder of the Russian spy in London.

It is not good enough an excuse to go saying things like probably, in all likelihood, almost certainly or other such vagaries when speaking about murder. People take murder very seriously. Well people in Europe do at least. Down here on the tip of the biggest continent in the world we have a different and unique view on murder.

Even Jacobs other problem of an opposition candidate insinuating that he is trying to or already has stuck his fingers into the PIC pot and used government pension funds for an ANC party, an insinuation that probably has Thuli Madonsela cancelling all light reading for the rest of the year, is not as big a problem as Putin taking on England single handed. Have you seen that guy ride a bear? I would not want to be Cameron or the Queen. The lawyers will make so many pounds, just think how many Rands that will be. Oh My Gosh! Just the lawyers fees for the primary case would fund a small country when converted into Rands.

Everyone is so shaken up by the racism whirlwind that only a few noticed as the pharmaceutical giants closed the circle on our access to natural medication and health with Jacob Zuma signing the Medicines Control Council out of the picture and creating a the new South African Health Products Regulatory Authority, SAHPRA. This is a new "model law" specially designed for Pan Africa, or as I know it, Africa. This Model Law is supported and funded by the UN, NEPAD Agency, the African Union Commission, the Pan African Parliament, the World Health Organization, the World Bank of all places, as well as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and no surprises, the US Government as well.

Still Putin's plate seems more serious. They are running him down so bad in all the Western media, tearing at him trying to reduce him in such banal fashion, all they are doing with our president is laughing and counting the extra cash they are getting from the new exchange rate.

I prefer Zuma, give me Zuma's problems over Putin's any day.
