What's the issue?

What's the issue?

It was like magic. We moved from being a fascist state to a democracy without a full-blown civil war. We did this. Okay, we had a territorial war along every border we shared with our northern neighbours, but in the borders of our country we had an underground civil war. We avoided full-blown conflict that would have ended in millions of people dying and the possible total destruction of our country as we knew it.

We all did this together. No one race did it without the other and no one race can claim the miracle as theirs. The rainbow nation did it, you and me and everybody.

So it is like a magic trick to a four year old to watch how such a great nation can stand by and watch a hand full of leaders, whom were put there by us, literally ransack our miracle, tearing strips off its economy and stuffing them into their back pockets. It is like we pulled the rabbit out of the hat and then once the oooh's and the aaahhh's of the enthralled audience subsided, the poor rabbit was tortured, skinned alive, pins stuck into its eyes and slowly eaten bit by bit.

Our miracle is being destroyed, one corrupt deal after another. With the unmentionable white farmer genocide and the unbelievable collapse of one parastatal at a time, one government institution at a time. Once we are past the point of no return, no amount of voting will be able to rectify the situation.

One situation that has gone completely out of hand is the ISIS crisis in the Middle East. Political analysts seem to put the blame for this problem squarely on the United States' shoulders, saying that ISIS filled the gap left behind by the US army when it retreated. ISIS is reported to be making around a million dollars a day selling off crude oil and taxing the populations they have captured. All this umming and aahing about troops on the ground is playing directly into their hands and when I look at the situation I cant stop this little thought from popping into my head, again and again, "Did America want this to happen? Is this their plan? Surely they knew something like this would happen if they left the area too quickly without setting up the locals properly?"

I try to shut that little though up saying that it is lunacy. Madness. Why on earth would they do such a thing even if they could? Then the little voice starts answering my question with stuff that makes sense and I have to make it shut the &%#@ up. But it wont. It says things like, "The Arab spring was stopped at Syria, by Putin, (Happy Birthday Putin) and I was very suspicious that the Arab spring was assisted if not orchestrated by Western forces.

I know, I need to be institutionalised because my wayward imagination has entered a domain that no sane person should enter, but I just can't afford the therapy.
