What's the issue?

What's the issue?

Author: Tomas Yoko
Date: 2014-09-19
Boy do we have some really important issues facing the leadership of this country. Issues way more important then some Austrian company openly shafting our road users with eTolls. More important than officials stealing money that should be being used to help the poorest and most destitute citizens of this beautiful country deal with sick children and teenage-headed households. No, we have the mammoth problem of a group of highly paid actors who are not highly paid enough.

So now that the Marikana commission is drawing to a close, Vavi has turned the power of his office to stirring up a boycott of a TV soapie. COSATU, probably one of the most powerful unions in the country, is being directed towards a boycott of a soap opera TV show. Okay. All this while Ellen Tshabalala faces a boycott of her own with suspension imminent and dismissal more than very probable.

While I am whinging on about the eToll saga, I must praise all those who are boycotting the scourge that this daylight robbery represents. I must also praise those Ministers who are standing up on the side of the people in voicing their displeasure with the system. For us, we the people, to be railroaded into accepting this larceny without even being given a chance to voice our displeasure, it is a blight on our democratic constitution and should be disbanded immediately. Just my opinion.

On the issue of priorities, NATO can now be easily recognised as the bully that is pushing the world into another cold war, if not another world war, with the arrival of foreign troops in Ukraine and military exercises being carried out jointly with the Western Ukraine forces. NATO's announcement of their intension to expand into Eastern Europe, namely Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia can only waken the sleeping bear that is Russia's military.

Earlier this year Vladimir warned that the allied military build-up near Russian borders, that included US built missile defence systems, was not fooling him. Vladimir openly stated that he knew that these systems were not just for defensive purposes. Defending against whom exactly? Vladimir alleged that these missile systems are an offensive weapon saying that they are an "element of the US offensive system deployed outside the mainland." Unquote.

All I can see is the worlds largest money making industry, namely War, being forced on what should really be a peace loving human race. Who really wants war? I don't know anybody who is not a psychopath that wants a war, anywhere.

It seems that people are more interested in whether Dolus Directus or Dolus Eventualis was perpetrated than they are in whether or not a whole population is pitted against its own brothers and sisters so that some munitions company can charge some puppet government a few trillion dollars. Aren't we a beautiful species?

Anywau with winter fast approaching, I hope they have their long johns with them.

Then there are those stupid Scots trying to break away from the United Kingdom. That is the stupidest idea I have ever heard.
