Whats The Issue?

Whats The Issue?

Author: Tomas Yoko

Sigh! Listening to our president talk about the state of our nation really had me confused. Was there a labour deadlock dragging our economy into the doldrums of ineffectual disparity? My fuzzy head has perhaps confused me into thinking that it was South Africa struggling with a massive labour issue. I know in Zimbabwe the masses are struggling to gather enough maize to see the winter through and very little light at the end of a long dark tunnel leading to their government.

I must however take my hat off to the Parliament who finally woke up to the clown in the circus. Obvious disregard for the highest position of law in our country finally proved too much and Julius was asked to leave the building. His party then did the 'cut my nose off to spite my face' move and followed him out f the session. He may have had a point there but pitching up in his onezee with a red hard hat was just a bit too much show boating for my liking. I would have sent him and his band of merry insubordinate men home to get dressed properly. If they let him back in without a severe disciplining then I can only say that we deserve to have him as our president.

Speaking of Presidents, one of the world's presidents that I can muster a tangible amount of respect for is old Vladimir Putin. He recently requested his Upper House to repeal the decision that endorsed the president's right to use military force on the territory of the neighboring Ukraine "until the normalization of the social and political situation in that country." Having signed a deal first with China and now with Austria for a gas pipeline treaty Putin is not on the war path, something we don't seem to be able to say about the American President.

Obommer is facing the fouth of July celebrations and may have to save some of his fireworks for the shitstorm that is brewing in Iraq. The fact that America was training ISIS troops in 2012 may or may not be actual, but with that regime's track record I would not be surprised.

The civil war that now threatens to ruin Iraq completely seems inevitable and the country looks like it will almost certainly be divided up amongst the factions, not before many more lives are lost and a lot more blood is spilt.

Now I must lower my tone as I consider the journalists who underwent a mock trial and were sentenced to seven years in jail in Egypt, a country that says it is heading towards democracy, probably the only democracy without freedom of speech.

Hallelujah, praise the Lord for the Sudanese repeal of the most barbaric sentence to death of a pregnant woman, for a moment there I thought we were back in the dark ages.
