Paradigm Swift Launched

Paradigm Swift Launched

Author: Tomas Yoko
Date: 2014-03-21
Cape Town set the scene for the launch of Suzuki's paradigm shift in their range of exciting hatchbacks and a whole new model form Suzuki in the form of the Swift sedan.

Dubbed the Paradigm Swift, the launch was a no nonsense affair held at the Cape Town International Airport Conference Centre and then quickly on to test-driving the sporty and exciting Swift and new Swift Sedan.

My driving partner was none other than the verbose Ravi R, radio DJ and we set out towards the hills of the wine district.

Ravi's eyes bulged with what I thought must be delight as I sent the new Swift careering into a corner much faster than was required. The screeching coming from the tyres was minimal, however I can't say the same about Ravi.

We settled into the task of evaluating the Swift and both Ravi and I enjoyed the comfort levels and dynamic handling of this zooty sports style hatch.

After a sumptuous lunch at Boshcendal Wine Estate Ravi and I jumped into the new Swift Sedan and headed for the mountain pass that runs past Gordons Bay. It was a beautiful day and the Suzuki Swift Sedan matched the brilliant sunshine. The addition of a 1.2 litre model in the range meets the rising demand for smaller engines, however with the Swift, it is not so much the size of the dog in the fight as it is the size of the fight in the dog. Punchy acceleration and nimble braking and handling made Ravi and I forget that there even was a boot on the sporty little number.

Get down to Suzuki Umhlanga and take a test of the Paradigm Swift that has swept over the Suzuki Swift Range.
