What's the issue?

What's the issue?

So Parliament was in a flurry of fashion pomp and splendour and looked more like a BAFTA awards event than the very serious matter of gathering for the opening of parliament and the much 'baited breath' awaited state of the nation address by our President Jacob Zuma.

Besides the sullied terms like "work opportunities" that may or my not have been employed to soften the edge of the term JOBS, Jacobs speech had a very positive ring to it, but then it is an election year and so we can expect that.

Well shock and horro at the way the ANC supporters dispersed Helen and her merry band of protestors, come on Helen, we don't protest peacefully here in South Africa. Where have you been, to protest you need a bakkie full of bricks. No not rubble from a demolished house, that would be counterproductive, you need brand new bricks, preferably clay and imported if you can get them.

That is just step one Helen, write to me and I will send you a ten step process on how to protest properly in the Republic. Walking along singing a song just wont cut it with these guys. I mean look at the other guy running for the same job you're running for. He incites violence and uses hate speech with impunity. You have to up your game girl, you have to go bossies!

OK, maybe not such good advice. Anyway there is one lady that I take my hat off to, if I had a hat, and that is Thuli Madonsela. Is she doing a fantastic job or is there so much corruption, theft, maladministration, misappropriation and outright gangsterism that her job is just so easy to do. I imagine she is not pressed to find things to do when she gets to work on Monday morning. She is surely not faced with an empty in tray, wondering to herself, "What can I do to protect the public today?"

Her report on the SABC would have had me in stitches of laughter if it weren't so tragic. Tragic because it is the colour that seems to be splashed all over every parastatal non NGO organization in the whole frikkin country. GRRRRR!

OK, calm now Tomas, calm. Viva the French Government for their action in stopping the planting of genetically modified maize, they placed a ban on planting the tampered seeds and I am hoping against hope that the EU will follow suit, however it seems unlikely as there has been little consensus in the EU about this issue so it looks like they will eventually be railroaded or lobbied into allowing the planting and cultivating of this new maize, which is recorded to resist antibiotics and yield a much lower level of nutrition.

Well Julius is welcoming white to his EFF party, just not arrogant ones, so if you are white, and you can drop your arrogance, you can join him in his march to the presidency.
