Surf Report

Surf Report

Date: 2013-08-23
Results of the Quiksilver King of the Groms Video selection were announced last week, and I'm stoked to say I won the AFRICA region - a trip to Hossegor in France at the end of September to compete in the Final of the KOTG. See the website to check out the 15 finalists, and LEO Fiorovanti, Jack Robinson & Kanoa Igarashi https://www.quiksilverlive.com/kotg/2013) The final will take place during the FRANCE Quiksilver PRO next month. The winner will surf for the KING OF THE GROMS 2013 Title. The judging criteria was based on the level of surfing, quality and originality of the video and the umber of votes posted. Thanks to all who voted to make this happen, Quiksilver South Africa and Steve Michelson, my mum and dad and my coach Qj all contributed to getting me there!

In TEAHUPO'O, Tahiti this past weekend, Sunday, August 18, - Adrian Buchan (AUS), 30, claimed the 2013 Billabong Pro Tahiti over 11-time ASP World Champion and four-time Billabong Pro winner Kelly Slater (USA) in solid four-to-six foot or 1.5 - 2 metre waves. The updated WCT ratings after Tahiti, finds Jordy Smith in fourth place.
