But one King who looks like he will never lose his throne is King Bob. The proverbial is already hitting the fans ahead of the upcoming elections with more of the same preceding the voting. Movement for Democratic Change parliamentary candidate, Arnold Tsunga, was arrested along with about fifty of his supporters, charged with holding an unauthorized rally. Out the window go the rights of freedom of association and assembly and the freedom of expression. It is just so lame that all the agencies in attendance in Zimbabwe, attempting to ensure free and fair election, all they can do is investigate the matter and look into what transpired on the day. In the meantime Arnold sits inside with his followers and his campaign is dead. The elections are scheduled to be held on the 31st of July and I will put my most prized appendage on a block of ebony and suffer the unthinkable fate, if these elections are free and fair.

The arms deal that has crippled our country seems to go on and on and the cloak and dagger skullduggery now reads like a "who done it" movie plot. It is as incredulous as a James Bond movie plot from the fifties. Fana was tipped off by someone that he was going to be raided by the scorpions.
Allegations of how the former director general of the justice department, Menzi Simelane hindered or even blocked probes into the arms deal are now surfacing like fart bubbles in a bath, creating even more stink than there already is. I fear that we will never be able to move forward politically, as a nation, until all the skeletons have been brought out into the broad daylight and every penny of bribery and corruption is uncovered and revealed for the entire nation to see. Even the Germans wont get to the bottom of this. But even more concerning is the new attack on our only protection left, public protector Thuli Madonsela is the topic of much discussion at parliamentary level regarding the allegations made against her office. Those anonymous letters should be tossed to one side until the author grows a pair and admits to writing them. Till then, let her do her job.
