Baroque 2000 will be making music with the world-renowned Drakensberg Boys choir at 3 pm on Sunday 19 November at the church of the Monastery Mariannhill. The choir will be conducted by Bernard Kruger The works to be performed are Vivaldi's great and renowned Gloria in D major, (the solo parts will be sung by members of the choir), and choruses from Handel's Messiah.To open the concert the orchestra will present the same composer's Concerto Grosso op 3 no 4 in F.
Tickets are R150 at the door, and parking is free and secure. The programme will be repeated in the Pietermaritzburg City Hall on Thursday 30 November at 7 30 pm. A third and last performance at the Drakensberg Boys Choir School at Champagne Castle on Sunday 2 December 7 30pm is sold out.
